Mazenod College
Mazenod College, established on January 3, 2019, at the Rajabima Oblate Centre in Anuradhapura, continues the rich legacy of the Oblate Priests and Brothers, who have been dedicated to education in Sri Lanka since 1847. Inspired by the vision of Bishop Eugene de Mazenod, the college was founded to serve the poor and foster a dialogue of life within a Buddhist environment. Officially inaugurated on January 7, 2019, in the presence of religious leaders from multiple faiths, the college began with 30 students in Grade 1 under the leadership of Fr. Dileepa Jayamaha, OMI. Upholding the Oblate mission of empowering the underprivileged, Mazenod College remains committed to holistic education, nurturing students to grow as responsible individuals in a diverse and inclusive society.
